Lloyd-Princeton Cangé is a visual artist who lives and works in Chicago IL. His narrative paintings pull from Haitian history, the art of the Renaissance, images from social media, literature and world mythology, and his life experiences as a Haitian American. his work is broadly concerned with questioning and subverting the underlying power dynamics of Western culture and examining his anxieties and desires. Through this work, he explores what it means to be Black, Haitian-American, and male today.
